The Welsh Assembly Government is the lead partner in the Technium programme across Wales. The Welsh Assembly’s Department for the Economy & Transport (DE&T) is also responsible for delivering business, technical and financial support to Technium companies.

Swansea Metropolitan University‘s Faculty of Applied Design & Engineering includes a School of Automotive Engineering. It offers programmes designed to develop and enhance engineering skills to support the Welsh automotive industry.
