About Technium OpTIC

Technium OpTIC (Opto-electronics Technology and Incubation Centre) is a specialist innovation centre based at St Asaph Business Park in North Wales. It supports young science and technology businesses involved in the development of optical and electronic technologies. 

Opto-electronics is an innovative combination of optical and electronic technology.  Applications include:

• fibre optic communications
• DVD/CD optical storage
• phone and computer displays
• laser printers and scanners
• video and digital cameras

Companies who want to join us will need to be working in a variety of areas, from optics, photonics and lasers, to holography, vision systems and thin film coatings. Other areas include:
